Salted Caramel Cold Brew (Starbucks Copy Cat) - Recipe Diaries (1)

Back in 2020, I became an iced coffee addict and Tiktok made me try a bunch of Starbucks drinks. Some of the trendier Starbucks drinks are loaded with sugar and I still actually like to TASTE my coffee when I drink it.

I’m also one of those weird people that drink iced coffee in the Wintertime and I see nothing wrong with that. The taste might not be the same but it’s pretty comparable to eating ice cream in the Wintertime, isn’t it? There’s plenty of people who do that as well.

My go-to coffee order at Starbucks is the Salted Caramel Cold Brew with vanilla sweet cream foam and this is so easy to make at home, especially if you are following the WW plans I have a regular version of this drink and a WW friendly below in the recipe card. This drink is a layered coffee drink where the sweet cream foam gets poured on top of the cold brew coffee and when the cream starts to mix in with the coffee it creates a neat effect.

Cold Brew Coffee - Cold brew coffee is a popular alternative to traditional hot brewed coffee. It is made by steeping coffee grounds in cold water for an extended period of time, usually 12-24 hours. I like Stoks Cold Brew.

Cream - Dairy does not like me at all so I go for a lactose free milk such as Fairlife. It also has more protein in it.

Syrup - Caramel Syrup or Salted Caramel Sauce. Starbucks goes by pumps for measurement and ½ tablespoon is equal to 1 pump of syrup.

See the recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.

Recipe Tips

If you prefer sugar-free syrup use sugar-free. My stomach doesn’t tolerate sugar-free well so I eat food like that very rarely.

Salt - Salt is already an ingredient in the salted caramel syrup and if it's not feel free to add it to the cold foam.

How to have the Perfect Coffee Bar at Home!

Here are a few items to always have on hand whenever you want to make the perfect cup of coffee at home!

Espresso Machine - This electric espresso maker has single shot and double shot, and the extraction will stop automatically when the right coffee strength is reached. And it has a strict temperature control system to make your coffee taste perfect.

Flavored Syrups - There are two main different brands for buying flavored coffee syrups. Monin or Torani. Make sure to look for the correct bottle size and brand size when purchasing. These syrups can be used in other drinks such as Italian sodas, smoothies, and more!

Pumps - High quality pumps that are ideal for dispensing any kind of flavoring syrups

Fun Glasses - I like these cute beer bottle glasses that come with a lid.

    Thanks, Kristine!

  2. Kristine Graves says

That's great. I try to make your recipes and it succeeds but I used more Cold Brew Coffee. Thanks so much!

  3. Jenna says

Salt is already in the salted caramel syrup and if it's not feel free to add it to the foam. I mentioned that in the ingredients list.

  4. Elana Lieberman says

Good recipe except you didn’t add salt to the foam, that’s pretty crucial.

  5. Random Starbucks Espresso Machine says

This is pretty spot on. I would like to add that they use 3 pumps of vanilla swirl it while filling the cup to mix it. The 2 pumps of caramel syrup goes in the foam and they add 2 packets of salt (1 tsp?). Personally i'm going to be using one of my sea salts.
