Discovering All That This Beloved Store Has to Offer
As a long-time resident of Fargo, North Dakota, I’ve shopped at the localFleet Farmmore times than I can count. This iconic home, farm, and auto supply store has been a staple in our community for as long as I can remember. After hearing they recently opened a brand new superstore here in town, I decided it was time to rediscover what makes Fleet Farm such a beloved destination for folks throughout the region.
On a sunny Saturday morning, I set out on my journey to the new Fleet Farm Fargo to explore all that this local favorite has to offer. Conveniently located at 4300 15th Ave S, the superstore is easy to access right off I-29 on the south end of town.
When I arrived around opening time at 8 AM, the parking lot was already bustling with activity. Eager to start exploring, I stepped through the automatic doors and into the massive 176,000 square foot store. Right away, I noticed large overhead signage pointing me towards the main departments – everything from apparel and footwear to home improvement, camping gear, pet supplies, automotive accessories, and more.
My first stop was the customer service desk to grab a store map. The helpful employee welcomed me to Fleet Farm and assured me I’d find everything I needed during my visit. Map in hand, I was ready to start uncovering what makes this store so unique.
Hours, Specials, and Products Galore
Before really diving in, I wanted to get some key Fleet Farm Fargo details squared away. Using the map and signage throughout the store, I learned that regular hours are 8AM to 9PM Monday through Saturday, and 9AM to 7PM on Sundays. That’s good to know since I tend to be an early riser who likes to run errands on weekend mornings.
As I wandered the aisles, I kept an eye out for special offers and deals exclusive to the Fargo location. Near the apparel section, a display highlighted this week’s specials –25% off all women’s boots and select winter coats. Meanwhile over in automotive, a banner advertisedoil changes for just $19.99on Wednesdays. It seems there are always great ways to save at Fleet Farm!
When it comes to products, this place has everything I could possibly need for life in Fargo. The hunting and firearms department is fully stocked with rifles, shotguns, ammo, scopes, blinds, decoys, and gear to prepare for hunting season. I even discovered they sell hunting and fishing licenses here, saving me an extra trip to a government office.
Beyond hunting essentials, Fleet Farm Fargo carries a massive selection of name brand clothing, footwear, and accessories to handle our sometimes extreme weather conditions. I spotted winter boots from Sorel and The North Face as well as heavy duty jackets from Carhartt and Columbia. No matter the season, braving the elements in North Dakota just got a lot easier.
More Than Just Supplies
In addition to outfitting life outdoors, Fleet Farm has everything to maintain my home, vehicle, yard, and hobby farm. The home improvement section rivals big box stores with tools, lumber, lighting, paint, appliances, and more. I was thrilled to find a huge selection of canning jars and supplies since I plan to make jams and pickles with the produce from my garden this summer.
When it comes to my vehicles, Fleet Farm Fargo has me covered there too. I was able to schedule an oil change and tire rotation right at their on-site auto service center. While waiting, I stocked up on wiper fluid, floor mats, and an emergency kit for my car. This will make prepping my vehicles for the winter smoother than ever.
I was happy to see Fleet Farm also has a wonderful pet department. At the veterinarian’s suggestion, I’m switching my dog to a new diet to help his digestion issues. Fleet Farm makes this easy by carrying the prescription dog food he needs. They also have toys, beds, treats and other essentials to keep my furry friend happy.
Seasonal Delight
Given that Fleet Farm operates primarily in Midwestern states like North Dakota, they do seasonal items exceptionally well. As spring rolls in, they’ll no doubt ramp up their impressive garden center. During my visit, the racks were already stuffed with seeds, bulbs, gardening tools, outdoor furniture and everything to get yards prepped for the warmer weather ahead.
Once summer hits, they’ll have all the camping, fishing, and boating gear I need to fully enjoy the few months of sunshine we get here. Speaking of fishing, the store has a tank where they actually keep live bait like minnows and night crawlers! While fall brings cooler weather, Fleet Farm will have cozy flannels, boots, and hunting essentials for the new season.
When winter descends on Fargo, Fleet Farm becomes a wonderland of ice fishing accessories, snow removal tools, outerwear, footwear, and cold weather gear. They even carry vehicle emergency kits which are clutch during North Dakota blizzards. It’s clear Fleet Farm built their inventory around the way we live throughout the different seasons here.
Credit, Workshops and More
Midway through my visit, I stopped at the front register to apply for a Fleet Farm credit card. The sales associate explained that the card offers special financing options in addition to earning rewards points on purchases. This will come in handy for larger purchases like snow blowers, trail cameras, or paddleboards in the future.
While checking out the lawn and garden center, I noticed signs advertising upcoming workshops on topics like worm composting and raising backyard chickens. I signed up for an email newsletter so I don’t miss out on these fun learning opportunities. Fleet Farm seems like a great community resource beyond just shopping.
Speaking of deals, I’d be remiss not to mention the clearance bargains I found in many departments. There was a cart of discounted winter coats, cheap leftover holiday decor, and various home items marked down to rock bottom prices. Be sure to keep an eye out for bright yellow clearance tags to score big savings.
Before leaving, I joined Fleet Farm’s MyRewards loyalty program at the customer service desk. I can’t believe I’ve shopped here this long without earning rewards! Going forward, I’ll receive $5 for every 300 points earned, plus members-only coupons and special offers. Easy to rack up extra savings on each trip.
Delivery, Pick Up and Support
While ambling through the large store during my visit, I chatted with several helpful employees wearing signature green Fleet Farm shirts. They were always happy to point me towards items or make recommendations on products. The excellent customer service and expertise makes shopping here really enjoyable.
When checking out, I was thrilled to learn Fleet Farm Fargo offers not only in-store pick up, but also home delivery on many items. Next time I need heavy bags of soil for my garden or lumber for a project, I won’t have to haul it myself! Delivery will make my Fleet Farm shopping even more convenient.
On my way out, I grabbed a complimentary cup of Fleet Farm’s signature cappuccino from their Daily Perk Cafe. Sipping the warm drink, I reflected on my journey through this Fargo staple. I was reminded why Fleet Farm has been my go-to store for quality, selection, and prices for life in North Dakota. I can’t wait to visit again soon to see what else I discover.
