Fleet Farm has been my go-to store for quality goods at affordable prices for as long as I can remember. Being able to get everything from work boots to fishing gear all under one roof is so convenient. That’s why I was thrilled when they opened up a brand new Fleet Farm location right here in Oconomowoc just last year.
The other day I decided to head over and explore the new Fleet Farm store. I wanted to check out everything they have to offer and get familiar with the layout. If you’re looking for the perfect one-stop shop in Oconomowoc, then you definitely need to visit Fleet Farm! Here’s a look inside my day discovering all the great finds at Fleet Farm in Oconomowoc.
Arriving at the Store
The Oconomowoc Fleet Farm store is located at 1535 Summit Ave, right off of I-94. It’s pretty hard to miss since it’s such a massive store! I pulled up to the parking lot around 10am on a weekday morning. The lot was already filling up but I easily found a spot. As I walked in through the automatic doors, I grabbed a cart and was immediately greeted by the welcoming staff.
My first impression was that this place is huge! The store layout is bright, spacious, and well-organized. Right away I found directories to point me towards each department. I decided I would start my shopping adventure by exploring the store section by section.
Checking Out the Hours and Services
Before diving in, I wanted to get familiar with the store hours and services offered. The Oconomowoc Fleet Farm is open from 8am-9pm Monday through Saturday, and 9am-7pm on Sundays. That’s definitely convenient when you need to shop early or late.
In addition to all the retail products, I learned that Fleet Farm has a fullauto service centerfor repairs, tires, batteries, and more. The auto center has its own separate hours from 7am-7pm during the week and 8am-5pm on Saturdays.
The store also offers specialty services like trailer hitch installation, truck accessories, blade sharpening, screen repair, key cutting, and propane exchanges. It’s great having these all available right on-site.
Checking Out the Apparel Department
I started my shopping trip in the clothing and footwear section. They have rows and rows of casual clothing, workwear, outdoor gear, and sports apparel. I was able to find reliable brands like Carhartt, Columbia, and Levi’s. Thework bootsselection was impressive! As a landscaper, I’m tough on boots and appreciated the many steel-toe options. I even found some insulated muck boots that would be perfect for working outdoors this winter.
The clothing section had separate men’s, women’s, and kid’s areas. I noticed they carried specialty sizes like big and tall. The prices were really reasonable here compared to typical department stores. And if I ever have an issue with something I purchase, there is a convenient 90 day return policy.
Admiring the Home and Decor
Next I wandered over to the expansive home department. They had everything you could need to decorate each room of your home. There was a stunning selection of rugs, furniture, storage solutions, home office supplies, mattresses, pillows, comforters, and so much more. I loved the rustic cabin décor that would be perfect for a lake house.
Fleet Farm really does offer one-stop shopping. I was able to browse indoor and outdoor décor pieces, wall art, curtains, and flooring options. They even had a specialty kitchen section with appliances, bakeware, table linens, dishes, and utensils. I spotted bright KitchenAid stand mixers which would make a great gift for my sister who loves baking.
Checking Out the Outdoor Equipment
Being located right in the heart of Wisconsin, Fleet Farm knows the outdoors are a way of life around here. I was blown away by their unmatched selection of outdoor equipment and gear. They have everything you could ever need for hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, boating, and yardwork.
Thefishingsection was incredible. I was able to find all the latest gear along with bait and tackle. They have alive bait coolerstocked with minnows, worms, and leeches. I spotted graphite fishing rods, reels, lures, nets, tackle boxes, fishfinders, and every accessory you could imagine.
Their hunting supplies were also fully stocked. I was able to find ammunition, treestands, decoys, blinds, hunting clothing, knives, flashlights, optics, and more. They truly have the best selection of fishing and hunting gear in the area.
Perusing the Automotive Section
Since Fleet Farm has a full auto service center, it makes sense that they offer amazing automotive supplies too. In the auto department I found motor oil, wiper blades, car wash supplies, floor mats, car accessories, racks, hitches, and pretty much anything else you could need.
The battery selection was impressive. They carry batteries for your car, boat, tractor, ATV, motorcycle, and pretty much anything with an engine. And with the installation service, it’s super convenient to get a new battery right on the spot.
I also noticed they dostate vehicle inspections and emissions testing. It’s great to have those services along with the full auto service center located right in the store.
Checking Out the Pet Section
I couldn’t leave without visiting the pet department for my pup! They have all the essential pet supplies like food, treats, beds, collars, leashes, bowls, crates, litter, and toys. I love that they carry specialty foods for different breed sizes and ages.
The selection of pet toys was endless – they had indestructible tough toys, interactive games, chews, fetch balls, and more. I also spotted grooming supplies like shampoos, brushes, nail clippers, and flea and tick control. It’s amazing being able to get everything for your pets in one convenient place.
Perusing the Hardware Department
As I wrapped up my shopping adventure, I made sure to browse through the tools and hardware department. They have every hand tool, power tool, and tool storage option you could possibly need. Major brands like Milwaukee, Dewalt, Craftsman, Stanley, and Hoover lined the shelves.
I noticed they have a key cutting kiosk right in store, which is really helpful for getting copies made on the spot. The lumber section was also fully stocked with boards, plywood, molding, and other building materials.
Between the tools, hardware, paint, lumber, and garden center, any project I have in mind I’d be able to tackle with supplies from Fleet Farm.
Checking Out with My Finds
After spending hours exploring the store, my cart was filled with some amazing finds. Everything from work gloves to a new dog bed for my pup. On my way to the registers I quickly grabbed a snack and drink from the convenience store section.
The checkout process was seamless. They have so many registers open that I didn’t have to wait long at all. I was also able to sign up for a My Fleet Rewards card to start saving on my purchases.
