Moved to this district in 2018 after Hurricane Michael, the environment is very friendly and the area outside of school is beautiful! I attend the Magnet Innovation Center and am quite pleased with what I have learned and feel ready for my future.

Overall, my school district and school in general has done an impeccable culture at creating a close knit community, not just within my high school, but with the middle and elementary schools as well. There are many things that I have been able to join that have allowed me to be a part of something bigger than myself. For example, in my high school, we have a lot of emphasis towards school spirit through our student government program. We recently just hosted our 5th annual senior citizen prom which allowed all of the seniors in our community to come out and dance, eat good food, and win fun raffle prizes. Overall, it is things like that that have made my high school experience throughout the county more enjoyable.
Some things that could use improvement would definitely be the extent to which counselors and other people of resource are involved in the college readiness process. having more resources available for students would really help in the college admissions process.

It’s a good school district, Mr. Hughes is absolutely awesome! He won the Florida Superintendent of the Year award and was qualifying for the national title!! Teachers and great too! Have a really close teacher that is qualifying as a National Teacher of the Year applicant.
