I attended the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Luncheon today at the Hilton Capital Center in Baton Rouge, LA. Governor John Bel Edwards was the keynote speaker. It was very exciting to hear the progress that our state has made over the last two years since he has been in office ... most notably how we've gone from a billion dollar deficit to a multi-million dollar surplus! Way to geaux! Thanks so much Angelica Rivera for the invitation. Also CONGRATULATIONS on being recognized by the Governor on your new council appointment!! So proud of you!!This was my first time attending a HCCL event and most certainly won't be the last. Talk about an electric energy and positive vibe!#tasteoflemonade#businessluncheon#Hispanicchamber

Congratulations to my friend Danielle Gremillion on being recognized on Saturday! She was honored with the highest personal award presented by the American Advertising Federation– Baton Rouge is the E. A. Pete Goldsby Award, presented each year to the person who has made the greatest overall contribution to the advertising profession. The Goldsby Silver Award is named for the late E.A. “Pete” Goldsby. Mr. Goldsby was the advertising manager of the State-Times/Morning Advocate and gave most generously of his time and talents to the advertising profession as well as many civic, fraternal and charitable activities. After his death in 1954, the Board of Directors of the Advertising Club of Baton Rouge established the Goldsby Award, to be presented to worthy recipients for outstanding contributions in the interest of advertising.So proud of you Danielle for finally receiving this well deserved honor!
