Nothing like a brisk mountain hike before work. I just watched a moose and it's offspring running around. I am definitely blessed.

There's something magical about escaping into the wilderness, leaving the chaos of everyday life behind. For me, I love hiking because it forces me to disconnect. It's amazing how hiking allows me to relieve stress, unwind, and refresh my mind. Let's wander, let's breathe, and let's embrace the serenity that surrounds us!What Mountain is your favorite? None of us are a "one-trick-pony". We all have many interests and passions. For me, Balanced Wellness has been a priority for decades. While backpacking may seem like a purely physical activity, there's a lot more happening "out there". When it comes to multi-week or -month thru-hikes, the people you meet, the connections you make, and the connection to nature fills my heart (#emotionalhealth - my day job). After any backpacking trip, I truly believe I am a better person to be around. My #behavior improves when I feel more connected.Oftentimes, hiking, backpacking, & thru-hiking focuses on gear. I get it. I love gear too! But there is so much more happening on the trail.Last year, while offering Trail Magic in MD, I met Giggles & 2Shoes. Our time together was just not enough. I wanted to hear more insights & stories so I asked if they'd like to continue the conversation and record it for others.Spoiler Alert: They talk in-depth about the diverse people they met and the powerful connections they made. Many thru-hikers finish with a "restored faith in humanity" and emphasize how "it's about the people".For me, Emotional Health is about giving & receiving #love, #connection, & #belonging. And when it's nurtured, our behaviors improve dramatically. Here is that conversation. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.Peace. Love. Connect.☮❤🤝https://lnkd.in/dZ4v-6gh

Life is like hiking; it is full of challenges. When hiking up a hill, there are moments when you may feel that you cannot do it, and the same is true with life turbulence. Difficult times can manifest, and we have to question ourselves, but when we see through them, it becomes easier and your mind can relax in the long run. #encouragementandlifeadvice

"The frog in the well knows nothing of the sea." 🐸 🛶If you choose to swim in a pond, the river will seem out of reach. 🌊 When you choose to stay in the river, the opportunities in the ocean are only dreams. 🏔️In either case, climbing a mountain may appear impossible.🌳 Sometime, you need to break your boundaries to see what you are truly capable of. Step out of our comfort zone. 🪴 That one step maybe all you need. 🛫#developingleaders #selfconfidence #selfdoubt #comfortzone #leadershipdevelopment

🏞️ Finding Resilience 🥾💪 I wanted to share a bit about my love for hiking and how it's shaped my outlook on life. Hiking offers me a chance to disconnect and recharge. But with each step forward, we uncover our inner strength & resilience. The best advice to break work stagnation is to step out of your comfort zone. Are you ready to challenge yourself by hiking to unleash the latent energy in your body?

𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐠𝐨 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬. Some want to challenge themselves and reach new heights. Others seek peace and quiet away from their busy lives. Many go to admire the beautiful scenery and take photos to share. And some just love the thrill of exploring rugged terrain𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲'𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐮𝐬 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬. In life, just like when you are hiking, you have to turn around periodically just to see what hills you overcame and what you went through.Don't keep walking when you turn back, or you might fall backwards, but use the memory to energize to move you forward when you turn back around.#Overcomer #LookBackThenForward #KeepMoving #ForwardFacing #SafeLeadership
