I'm sorry, but it sounds like you might be the one with outdated information. But it does sound like you somewhat know what you're talking about, so your comment is confusing. The point of the comment you replied to is that only 26% of the calories are protein, which means this product is not "high" protein. And that person even used examples of regular foods that have a higher protein composition. That's not really debatable. If you understand that calories can only be made up of protein, fat, and carbs, you will realize that the rest of the calories that aren't protein can only be carbs or fat (or alcohol with zero nutrients, but that's obviously not in this).
There's nothing wrong with this bar and there's nothing wrong with carbs and fat, but if your goal is to increase protein and maybe even lose fat by restricting your calories, this isn't going to be a helpful product.
If you want to burn fat by restricting your calories, you want to get more protein while having less carbs and less fat.
Again, there's nothing wrong with this product, but it's not high in protein compared to the other macronutrients. A can of tuna for example, has almost all of its calories as protein.
*edited to add: Even if you're only talking about convenience and portability, most protein bars have about twice as much protein.

Other Think bars have 20 grams of protein. This plant based one is good to try if you are curious but not really a protein bar.

\nSkim milk and black beans??? This is a ready to go, eat anywhere PROTEIN BAR. This is what meant to eat to be eaten when you aren't able to make regular food.

\nThese are not anywhere close to being candy bars either. Most bars in this arena have 14-20 grams of sugar with more calories and less protein, The macros on these bars are actually great and they taste better than most I've tried, and I've tried many.

\nI'm sorry, but it sounds like you might be the one with outdated information. But it does sound like you somewhat know what you're talking about, so your comment is confusing. The point of the comment you replied to is that only 26% of the calories are protein, which means this product is not "high" protein. And that person even used examples of regular foods that have a higher protein composition. That's not really debatable. If you understand that calories can only be made up of protein, fat, and carbs, you will realize that the rest of the calories that aren't protein can only be carbs or fat (or alcohol with zero nutrients, but that's obviously not in this).

\nThere's nothing wrong with this bar and there's nothing wrong with carbs and fat, but if your goal is to increase protein and maybe even lose fat by restricting your calories, this isn't going to be a helpful product.

\nIf you want to burn fat by restricting your calories, you want to get more protein while having less carbs and less fat.

\nAgain, there's nothing wrong with this product, but it's not high in protein compared to the other macronutrients. A can of tuna for example, has almost all of its calories as protein.
